I have an Asus G1Sn Gaming Laptop. MY screen will sometimes just shut off and then the primary power button does not work. I have to use the power button by mouse pad. This used to happen very infrequently but recently it started happening a lot. Its getting really annoying. Anything I can do?

Asus will tell you to back up all saved files to an off machine flashdrive or external hard drive, then turn the unit off then turn it on go to computer and open to the search box enter manufacturers default reboot.vIt will reboot your OS from a protected boot sector on your hard drive. If this doesn't fix take it a trusted computer repair service.

SOURCE: Scroll bar on asus mouse pad not working

Try removeing any external devices and reboot the unit.
Next, look at your device manager for flags..
Remove any if shown in manager.
Restart the unit.
If you still don't have control of the scroll bar, try booting into safe mode and see if you have control their.
If you still do not have control of the scroll bar, try reloading the drivers for the mouse and touch pad.
Buy any chance do you have a mouse lock or switch on the unit that may be on.
I know, on the center of my touch pad, I have a switch to engage and dis-engagae.

SOURCE: I have an Asus K60 Laptop.I can not figure out how

Did you try the FN key and F9...
That is what they say to disable your touchpad

You have a function key which is called Fn That key allows you to use the functions on the F series keys

So Fn then F9 should do the trick

Blue vertical line on my desktop

The blue lines are a sign that the screen itself is failing. You can try to reseat the data cables from the motherboard to the back of the screen, but in most cases this is indicative of an immenent screen failure.
