I am not sure if my AudioVox APS95BT2 2-Button Code Learning Remote is the reason my car wont start. Yesterday, the remote stopped locking the car and then today my car wouldnt start and I am not sure whether I should just replace the remote battery or car battery. Thanks in advance, Breanna

If the remote is not working, then disarm the alarm manually. Turn the ignition on and press and release the valet switch one time. You should hear two chirps from the alarm. Start the car. If the car starts then replace the remote battery. If the vehicle fails to start after disarming the alarm then there could several other issues. Does the vehicle attempt to start, i.e. clicking from the starter, motor tries to turn over, etc.? Does the car battery have the power to start the car?

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.
