I moved the fax into another office. It rings and shows that it is recieving but does not print out the fax. It will also dial and connect when you send out a fax, but will not complete the job. I moved it back to it's original location, but it still is not working. I have also tried a couple of different phone cables.

Hi slickkitty Only one press for each display, When you press the FAX RECEIVE MODE button, the display should change each time you press. eg: AUTO, FAX ONLY When you see the FAX ONLY, press the SET button and leave it like that. Don't try to do it when the fax rings. Do it when the fax machine is idle.

The following instruction is found in your Fax Manual. Set the fax machine to FAX ONLY mode by pressing {RECEIVE MODE} until the following is displayed. 1 The display will show the number of rings before the fax machine answers a call in FAX ONLY mode. 2 Press {+} or {-} to change the ring setting to 2 and press {SET}. How to receive calls Just leave it. When the other party sends a fax, the fax machine will receive it automatically.

These units only ring under two circumstances. First the external phone must be attached. It has a volume slider on the phone. Second. The recieve mode must be st for Fax/Tel not anything else
Hi You need to contact comcast for this issue and get a seperate phone line to which u need to plug in the allinone. This issue may exist most of the Comcast customers. thx
Press the 'RECEIVE MODE' button on the right side of the control panel, its next to the large 'FAX START' button. Here are your options :
Select Receive Mode MANUAL —You must answer all calls yourself. If you hear fax tones, press Fax Start to begin receiving the fax, then hang up. You can use this mode with Distinctive Ringing. (See Distinctive Ring , page 8-1.) FAX ONLY —The fax machine automatically answers every call as a fax call. You cannot receive a voice call, but you can dial out and make a voice call. FAX/TEL —The fax machine automatically answers every call. If the call is a fax, it prints the fax. If the call is not a fax, it signals you with a double-ring (ring-ring), different from the phone company ringing, to alert you to pick up the call. If you select this setting, you’ll need to set the Ring Delay and F/T Ring Time features (on the following pages). If you have extension phones on the same line as the fax machine, set Ring Delay to 4. (See For FAX/TEL Mode Only , page 5-5.) TAD:ANSWER MACH. —This is the only setting in which you can use an external answering machine. Your telephone answering device is connected to your fax machine, and answers every call. Once the TAD answers, the fax machine listens for fax tones. If it detects fax tones, it prints the fax. The TAD setting works only with an external telephone answering device (TAD); it does not work with telephone company Voice Mail. Ring Delay and F/T Ring Time do not work in this setting.
please check if the machine is set to correct answering mode i.e. TAD/FAX ?correct it if otherwise.
in case it is ok please check whether the DRPD mode may not be switched off ,pls correct it..

NVRAM init
NVRAM init returns all stored parameters in NVRAM to factory default values or to a default
ROM value, depending on the variable, and performs a system reset.
Performing NVRAM init can cause the product to violate local telephone regulations. Reset the
language and country/region after performing NVRAM init.

NVRAM init resets the following settings and information:
● All menu settings are reset to factory default values, including fax header and company
name.
● Factory settings such as formatter number, page counts, and factory paper settings are
reset.
● All faxes in memory are erased.
● All speed-dials, group-dials, and phone book entries are erased.
● All localization settings, including language and country/region, are reset.
To perform NVRAM init
1. Turn off the product.
2. Press and hold down the * and MENU/ENTER buttons.
3. Continue to hold down the buttons while you turn on the product. Hold the buttons through
the entire power-on sequence.
4. When Permanent Storage Init. appears on the control-panel display, release the
buttons.
5. When the message Language appears on the control-panel display, set the correct
language and country/region.
6. Allow the product to return to Ready before using the product.

-press the "Fax Mode" button
-press the menu button
-The Fax menu screen will be displayed
-press down arrow button 5 times until the screen displays "Ringing and Answering."
-press the select button
-the display will show the "Ringing and Answering menu
-press down arrow button 4 times untip "Pick-up On?" is highlighted
-press the right arrow button 2 times until the screen displays "1st ring"
-press the "select" button and now "1st ring" will be set as the default.
