50.3 means the fuser is getting too hot. It will either be a problem with the thermistor in the fuser or the power supply. If you can find a another fuser to test with you can answer the question pretty quickly.
An error occurred with the developing separation-drive assembly. 1. Check that the following connectors on the driver PCA are seated correctly: J403, J405, J213. 2. Check that connector J1020 on the DC controller is seated correctly. 3. Check that connector J5008 on the fuser motor is seated correctly. 4. Replace the developing separationdrive assembly. 5. Replace the memory-controller PCA. 6. Replace the fuser. reseat fuser - something may be binding causing error
Have you power cycled the pirnter. usually if you are going to remove the fuser on this model you need to ensure that the power is off. If you have another fuser you will want to trouble shoot like that
50.1 is 'low fuser temperature' I'm assuming that you haven't been messing around with the fuser. The book says to upgrade the DC Controller firmware. If that doesn't work, replace the DC Controller

The fuser is the heating unit near the paper exit, and that error means the lamp is burned out, the overtemp sensor is out, or the thermistor in the fuser is bad. About all you can do is replace the fuser. www.precisionroller.com will have a new fuser for you.
A 50 Service error is a fuser error. Turn the printer off for 5 to 10 minutes, then turn it back on. If the error is still there, I think your going to need to make a service call you can try reseating the fuser, but be sure to let the fuser cool completely before touching it. Good Luck the HP Laserjet 4p is a great printer.

If you still have the 50 Service error after reseating the fuser, you might need a new fuser.
You can access the fuser by opening the rear door. It's located directly above the paper tray. There are two screws that hold it in place. Remove those two screws, and the fuser slides outs.
Hope this helps.
