I have an Aquacycle 1000 FLE 1015 Front loader Washing machine. When switched on at the power button it does not beep as it usually does, you have to select the desired cycle (it usually set automatically to the cycle last run) then when you hit the start button, the door locks, and it sounds like the wash is going to start, however about 5 seconds in everything stops and the start button starts to flash?

There is usually a hatch at the back of the washing machine.

Can you turn off water to machine? The water seleniod needs to be replaced this lets water in the switch sounds like it's stuck open.

When you put it to drain/spin does the pump make any attempt to drain,if not it could be that there is something stuck in the pump,needs draining manually.Another thing to try is to find the fault code.If you hold down the 2 buttons on the far right of panel then press on/off button till lights start chasing,then release the 2 buttons on right hand side.Now the first function button by the on/off button you will need to press until the light above the button reaches the 9th or 10th position this will give you a read out in the display.
E10 = low water press.
E20 = pump or filter.
E30 = press. switch or heater faults.
E40 = Door swich.
E50 = motor.
Some of these numbers can vary there are more but those are the most common.After checking codes switch off machine then back on twice to reset.

Try some WD40 on the door lock on machine (not on the door) & open and close a few times. Of course the mains plug should be off the wall socket.

The Timer/ECU is likely failed in this instance.

Hiya Cheap6... more than likely the brushes.. which are easily checked to see if they are worn down.. otherwise its a new or RE-con motor.

faulty fill valve. or tap not switched on correctly if it has the blue tap remove the top of the tap and use pliers to switch it on

i have a problem with my zanussi aquacycle 1400 xtra capacity. some times it works ans some times not like there is a problem with the power the alternater? should i change this part? please help as my wife is driving me crazy.
