Normally when a computer beeps repeatedly it means either you power supply has failed or *********** board, to test this get hold of another power supply that you know is working and use that one to boot your mechine, if you have the same problem then unfortunatly *********** board has failed and will need to be replaced. hope this helps

HP Compaq 6005 Pro, nine beeps

9 BeepsNine beeps means that there has been an AMIBIOS ROM checksum error. Literally, this would indicate an issue with the BIOS chip on the motherboard. However, since replacing a BIOS chip is sometimes impossible, this AMI BIOS issue is usually corrected by replacing the motherboard.

SERVERB DOESNT SWITCH ON AND IT MAKES BEEPING NOISES AND SHOWS RED LIGHT.

Beeping on power up usually means hardware failure. Which of the front lights is showing red? This may help. There are also a number of lights on the mainboard which are diagnostic. The diagrams on the inside of the removable side cover show what state the lights should be for normal operation and how they would be in the event of a fault.

Are they Long Beeps? Does the RED led light on the front show up?
If there is no RED led light blinking, then the problem is your RAM.
If there IS a RED led Light showing up, then the problem is your Power Supply.

Hp compaq desktop stopped running, red light on front, beeps 4 times when power button pushed in. What is wrong with it?

4 beeps indicates ram or video issues.
Try reseating the ram modules and checking the video card (or try a video card if you are currently using the onboard video)

Computer will not start

It all depends how many beeps there were.
From http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12253_div/12253_div.HTML
Diagnostic LED Explanation Table Number of 1-second red LED blinks followed by 2-second pause, then repeats:
2-processor thermal protection activated
3-processor not installed
4-power supply failure
5-memory error
6-video error
7-PCA failure (ROM detected failure prior to video)
8-invalid ROM, bootblock recover mode

I have only really come across 4 beeps = order new Power Supply or 5 Beeps = reseat the memory and hope it works

Oli

HP COMPAQ D530 RED BLINKING LIGHT WITH BEEPING SOUNDS.

4 beeps & 4 flashes mean problem with the power supply. For my experience, most of the time the PSU is good, it is just overloaded.

Booting up

one light is for hardrive activity , the other is to show the power is on.. the flashing one is most likely the power light as most computers will tell you when thier ill....the beeping is an error code and should be in some pattern EG: Power LED blinks red twice, once a second, followed by a two second pause. Or something like that. Take note of the pattern and repost it here, then we can give you a specific area to look at.

HP Compaq d530

it all depends on the number of flashes , pause, repeat.
Since the problem did not indicate any beeps her is the following info

Power LED blinks RED 2 times, one every second, followed by a
2-second pause. = Processor Thermal Protection Activated

3 blinks 1 second apart = Processor not installed (not an indicator for a bad processor).

4 blinks 1 second apart .= Power Failure (power supply is overloaded)

Other possibilities are:
5 blinks 1 second apart No memory
6 blinks 1 second apart No graphics
7 blinks 1 second apart System board failure (detected prior to video)
8 blinks 1 second apart Invalid ROM
