I want install oracle 8i in windows 7

You can't install that Oracle version directly on a Windows 7 machine, but you should be able to install it on XP Mode.
Oracle 8.1 is not supported on Windows 7. It is never intended to be used on Windows 7. You have to look at virtualisation (Virtual Box, Virtual Pc, WMware), to get Oracle 8i installed on Win XP, 2000, 98.

Sir, please provide me with the soloution and my problem is that my client have a system which have window 7 and the client is using mstar which runs on oracle 8i and when i install the oracle 8i it is...

I am sorry to say but oracle 8i is not compatible with windows 7. If you would like this to run you would be needing a downgrade to xp. But if you insist on using windows 7 what you could do is install a virtualization software like virtualbox and install windows xp on it and the software you need. So, it would be like running windows xp in windows 7.

Oracle 8i on Windows2000Server

What exactly motherboard & processor you are usin? For some latest mother boards Oracle8i will not install and terminates why because the interface of the oracle was devloped by developed by using swing (java) so some app's wont start. This might be the cause. So, what you have to do is copy Oracle8i CD to HDD and search for SYMJCIT.DLL and rename it to SYMJCIT.OLD and install from the dump.

If it wont work then reinstall the system once.

This might be helpfull

Thank you

Nandu :)
