You obviously didn't read the problem carefully. The machine won't boot, so there is no command line. I have the same problem with a T23. It might be the CMOS battery that needs to be replaced.
sounds as if one of your memory modules is defect. CRC stands for Cyclic Redundancy Check and is a form of checking the memory. If you have two modules inside, take on out and see what happens.
Make sure you do not have a floppy diskette, CD or DVD inserted, or a USB drive plugged in. If the error continues, either your hard drive has a loose connection, has lost data, or has stopped working entirely. You would need to remove it and put it in a USB enclosure and plug it into another computer for testing, or take it to an expert. Sorry. Best of luck.
The POST error code 0175 refers to a CRC (cyclic redundancy check) reading from the EEPROM chip, that data is corrupted, most likely a faulty EEPROM chip. This is a motherboard problem and cannot be fixed except by a motherboard replacement. This is an old laptop and would not be worth fixing, I suggest you put your money towards a new laptop.
You can remove the hard drive and put it into an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an external USB hard drive.
hi!
try reinstalling the main-board utilities, actually its a package on your IBM unit. Its on the CD installer, insert it and reinstall the driver of your IBM Thinkpad to ease that error. If it doesn't work out, try reinstalling the Operating System.
Have a nice day
your hard drive may damaged or windows is corupted, try reinstalling windows if working then good or replace a new hard drive, and reinstall windows there.
