My philips gogear muse 8gb has frozen - Philips GoGear Muse Digital Media Player

my mp4 player is doing it too! terrible, ican´t stand it do you know how to run it?

Enter your model number on the search box and download the Device/Firmware manager from the Software and driver section. You can now upgrade the firmware.

If you still have problem, I'd suggest that you repair your GoGear with Device manager. Here is how:

Launch Device Manager and click the Tool menu and select "Repair", then follow the instructions to perform the repair process. Make sure all other applications such as Philips Plug-in, Windows Media Player or Windows Explorer that access the device are closed or else Device Manager will not recognize the device.

Contents may be removed by using this function. So make sure to back up your contents.

how to fix a philips 8gb

Connect the player to power and pc. Reset the player by holding the off-switch and the volume-+ (plus) switch., and as soon as the player shuts off, press and hold the volume- - (minus) switch. The philips device manager should come up now and recommend a repair, let it do so.

There is a slot next to the lock button on the bottom of the device.
Use the point of a safety pin or paper clip, and insert it into that slot. This will reset the device.

all you need to do is push and hold the ^ (up) key on the front and the Volume + key on the side for a few seconds. This will force the hddto reset and turn off. Now you can turn it back on and continue using it. Please note this doesn’t erase the data or music off the MP3 player.

plug it up to charge and then unplug it when it says ok to unplug or whatever

thank you for your concern: i fix it and the only way its to let the gogear run of battery and then you have to run the cd so you can download the songs from the itune library.

Press and hold [VOL+]&[POWER] to reset player.

Install and run Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

Select the repair/restore option and follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the player and reinstall the firmware.

NOTE: THIS WILL DELETE ALL TRACKS ON THE PLAYER

Do not see the drive for the SA6185 after installing software from CD.
