Hi. I am charging up my battery for my Harley and am using an oxford oximiser 600, but have lost the instructions. I would like to know what the two lights are to either side of the four lights. They appear to have a + and - symbol by them - one is glowing green but the other is not lit.

You have the four coloured lights to show battery state Red - irrecoverable; Orange - 3 to 6 Volts in the battery, Oximiser will attempt recovery; Yellow - 6 to 12 Volts in the battery, Oximiser will charge and and optimise and Green - Full charge, about 14 V, the Oximiser will maintain the charge.

On the left of this you have a Green light to show that the Oximiser is connected to the mains and on the right you have a Red light to show that you have connected the charging leads thewrong way around, i.e. the positive charging lead is on the negative terminal and the negative charging lead is on the positive terminal. This light should be off.

I went to the Oxford site and only found instructions for the Oximiser 900 but did find this at another site.

Simple 4 stage indicator lighting
Red light = battery irrecoverable
Orange light = battery in critical condition Oximiser will try to recover
Yellow light = battery low Oximiser will recharge and optimise
Green light = battery charged and ready to go

I hope this helps.

Good luck
Steve

Mama's and Papa's Oxford Cot

There are loads of videos. Somewhere in the listing will be instructions and the instructions will show all of the fixings, I delved 3 pages in. Any Big Box hardware store like Home Depot of Sainsbury's Homebase will stock them.

I have a 2005 883 sportster. have a battery less than a year old sat for 2 months. originally i went to start it and lights everything came on but not enough juice to kick over. i charged the battery and...

Check you have connected battery leads properly, failing that, check you have not blown a fuse,
Just as a further tip, if you intend to leave your bike for a while why not get a trickle charger, you can opt for a special designed one ie Oxford Optimiser, or Cheaper if you live in the U.k. you can get a Solar One frok Maplin, reduced to £9.99 they are great, Hope This helps

Hi the battery goes flat overnight, new battery and it is charging when running, i think there must be a drain somewhere any ideas, this is a 1999 hornet.

To find the drain could be very time consuming. If you place an ammeter in line with the battery, then remove fuses as you go and monitor when the drain stops, that will place you in the right area.
I had a similar problem years ago with and old Harley and it turned out to be battery acid spillage over the starter solenoid that was leaking electrically.
Hope you find it soon.

Flat battery

hi , If the battery is flat please follow these instructions: 1 - borrow a charger , charge the battery and start the bike 2- while the bike is running , turn the light on and while the bike revs up notice if the light becomes brighter . 3- if it does , the recharging process is good but your battery is faulty 4- if it does not become brighter the charging magneto may be faulty or the regular may be faulty as well . Depending how old is the battery , the best thing to do is to change it every two years . Let me know how you go .

I lost the instructions to my wii battery charger. Would like some instructions knowing when battery is fully charged, can you leave the controller in the charger when only using one at a time ?? please...

There's probably some light on the charger that would either change color or go off when the battery's charged. And it's usually okay to leave the Wiimotes on the charger when not using them, but I wouldn't leave it on there for super long amounts of time if you're not going to be using it foe a while.
