I had a similar problem with my LCD screen TV, and to my dismay, my
warranty just ran out. A thin red line began to appear on the right side
of the screen, and since many online and expert sources pretty much say
replace the expensive LCD screen or get a professional to fix it (in
which I suspect to be a business plot to get people to go to pricey
experts), I decided to look for other possible alternatives.
Here is some tips/solutions I was given (and it worked! at least for me):
1) Turn off the LCD and unplug the power source and let it rest for 5-10
minutes. Turn it back on and see if it disappears or improve. (This is
the one I used.)
2) While turned off, try jiggling gently all chords connected to the TV
(cables, power chords, etc.); you could even try unplugging and
replugging the chords/cables. Turn the TV back on and see if the red
line disappeared or improve. (This is the one I heard worked for
others.)
If the above doesn't work then I'm afraid you do have a bad panel on
your screen and will need to call in the experts or get a new TV. I hope
this will help. Best Wishes.
These colors lines on the LCD screen panel are not causes by an object or human being by force hitting it?If yes, than the tv is not repairable only can be replaced the LCD screen itself. The screen it 90% important to the tv and it limited in productions, will cost the same as a new tv,if screen panel is replacing. If the colors lines came on to the tv LCD screen panel by itself.Than ur tv have a board call the T-CON decoders board is dead. This board is sitting wright in the middle botton on the LCD screen panel require replacing.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-Con decoders board for the replacement.
If that line is permanently on the screen - even when you are using the AV signal then the LCD panel is busted, no way to repair it. Try getting it replaced under warranty, it shouldn't have failed so soon
You have a defective LCD panel. The only way to fix it is to replace the whole LCD panel. It is the most expensive part in the TV (usually $500-2500) depending the make, model, and size. It is also time consuming as you need to take the whole TV apart in order to replace that part.
Put your screen saver to black..let the screen saver come on if lines
are there you need a new lcd.....if lines are not there uninstalll all
graphics drivers reboot your laptop and reinstall this will fix it if
not your lcd screen is on its way out.....NEVER CLOSE YOUR LAPTOP AND
STAND ON IT THAT IS JUST SILLY THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE I MEAN COME ON HOW
STUPID CAN YOU GET YES PUTTING PRESSURE ON THE LCD WILL REMOVE THE
LINES FOR A WHILE BUT THEY WILL COME BACK.
