Got our Bravia four days ago. It has been fine, but suddenly a thin line has appeared at the top of the screen that is a little bit of the picture from the bottom of the screen. This is only in zoom or wide zoom. My preference was to view in wide zoom - it seems much sharper than in full.

TV Repair help with troubleshooting lines on your TV Screen. ... hi i have a sony bravia mdel # KDL46EX523. i have horizontal multi colored lines ... My TV has the following symptoms: - Horizontal lines from top to bottom of .... thick(like 1-1/12 inch) and a couple of green vertical lines next to the black one.Missing: kdl 40bx421
I assume that when you get the line you lose the picture, if so, you have vertical collapse, either a dry joint in the vertical section or capacitors or vertical I.C., I would doubt that the scan coil would be O/C as that is rare. if you can't do it yourself I suggest taking it to a repairer, as it should be an easy fix...Hope that helps...Phil
it can be fixed but in this case i doubt its worth fixing. these problems can be astronomically expensive and personally i would buy a nice new bravia or something similar. please rate
Hi there,it looks as if you have a frame collaps, this is the first time i have ever heard of this on an LCD tv,i take it that there is no picture at all only a thin line.
