The correct solution is this

navigate to C:\Program Files\InterVideo\WinDVD\Skins
you will see a WinDVD4 folder.

you need to copy the contents of that folder (open folder select all copy) and paste it directly into the \Skins folder. Now everything will work.

To solve this you just have to move one subfolder! When you look in the program folder of WindDVD4 itself, you will find a folder called Html and an other one WinDVD again. Below this WindDVD folder is an other folder calles Skins. Move/Copy this folder one level above to the same level as the folder Html. Now you will resolve your Splash problem and you will find the program navigator to be displayed, which was hidden before :-)

Open jpg files on Windows

Open a browser such as Internet Explorer. Right click "file" at left in one of the top bars. Right click "open". In pop-up box(1) that now opens, right click "browse". A folder window will then open. Navigate through the directory structure from this folder to the folder that holds the .jpeg you want to open. Also, change the file type in the bottom bar from the defaut HTML files to JPEG files by selectiung the file type from the drop-down list. Then right click on the JPEG file you want to open, then right cliock "OPEN" at bottom right. Then right click OK in pop-up box(1) and the image should appear in the browser window.

Windows 7 driver

The HP website below has a driver that will allow you to scan from "Scan" software button selections within "Windows Fax and Scan" and HP Photo & Imaging, however the HP Director software will not work (this allows you to configure the hard buttons on the scanner). no work around as of yet (and by now I would not expect one). These will also LIMIT to image type output files (*.bmp, *.jpg (or *.jpeg), *.png or *.tiff). No PDF Support.

I don't want photoshop to launch when I open a pdf or a jpg

Well, here's the simple steps, Right-click on any jpg/jpeg file, select "properties" click "change" and select "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" "Ok" "Apply" "Ok". Sometimes you'll need to browse the application, but in your case, i hope "windows picture and fax viewer" is right there. Same thing with the pdf, but you'll only need to open a pdf reader like "Adobe Reader" or "Fixit Reader". Good luck. Thank you for using FixYa.

When i click on my JPEG pics they wont open

such jpg files need the original software when they were modified into a jpg format. like an adobe jpg or a corel draw jpg wont open in paint until the respective software is installed.
secondly jpg file has a header file and check sum , if the header file is missing or destroyed by a virus or already there is a virus on ones system the jpg files have to be isolated and treated for antivirus which reapirs the file and seperates the virus from the header maintaining the integrity of the file.try to isolate one jpg file and run a scan for virus on another computer, if the file gets repaired use the antivirus to repair your files

Paint cannot save file windows 2000 proffessional

This fix should allow you to use MS Paint to Open and Save JPG files, and Open and Save GIF files. The quality of the saved GIF with MS Paint may be reduced because of the limited 256-color palette (See here for an explanation and workaround). A better alternative for opening and saving JPG and GIF files would be to download and install a great FREE image viewer called IrfanView (MS Paint is still better for individual pixel editing, so it's good to have both).
If you want to proceed with the MS Paint Fix, you should first do a search on your hard drive to see if you
have the jpegim32.flt and gifimp32.flt filters.
You can find those files here:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/one.human/files/Jpegim32.flt
http://www3.sympatico.ca/one.human/files/Gifimp32.flt
You need to make sure you have both filters in the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\grphflt
C:\Windows\MsApps\Grphflt
You may already have the JPEG Filter on your system, but only in one location. If that is the case, Copy and Paste it to the other location. Once you have the JPEG Filter in both locations, you may only need to do a simple Registry edit to be able to "Save As" a JPG.
If you already have the JPEG Graphics Filter on your system (and in both locations as stated above), but MS Paint still won't let you "Save As" JPG, you can manually edit the Registry to correct this. It's a simple fix. Go to Start, Run, type REGEDIT, and click OK. Go to this key by clicking the + signs beside the keys (folders):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Graphics Filters\Export\JPEG.
Click on the "JPEG" key (folder) in the left pane, and you'll see a String Value in the right pane with the name "Extensions". Make sure under the "Data" column it shows only "jpg". If it shows "jpg, jpeg", double-click on the "Extensions" string and from the "Value data" field remove "jpeg" so that it only reads "jpg" (without the quotes).
If it worked, this edit allows you to "Save As" JPG. If it didn't work, or if you want to be able to also open and save GIF files, read on.

Or use this reg file to export your files as jpeg
