Hi. My camera it´s still working and takes the photo but the screen is broken because it felt and I want to know if it can be fixed because the camera still works but the problem is the screen. Please give me a solution!!! Thanks...
I cannot remember what brand of camera we have, but my son dropped it, the screen on the outside is still intact, but when you turn it on there is a black square and a line in the upper left corner of the screen, you can see through the other side of the screen. Is this fixable, is it worth it, its a pretty new camera. Oh and does this mean the LCD screen is broke, or something more on the inside?
It sounds very much like it, press the ask me button and send me a message and if you can send me a clear picture of the screen I can tell you.
Usually returning a camera for a new screen is a bit expensive, you may be able to get the part from the manufacture but its often cheaper to get a faulty camera off ebay and swap the screen yourself or find someone who can..
As to weather its worth it it depends on what the camera is....

If no error code on the LCD screen, then you have either very weak batteries or a bad CCD problem/malfunction. One way to test the batteries is plug in your AC/DC source and try to turn on your camera again and try taking some pictures. Also make sure you have a memory card present in the camera. If it works, then it was the batteries. If it still doesn't work, then its the CCD. Time for repair.
Hi, My Sony digital camera 8.5 mf not taking the picture. When open the flash door. it shows blank screen. While trying to take photo it flashing light is working fine but no photo absorbed image. Any know how to resolve this issue.
Hi
The powershot s5 IS does in fact have some strange behaviour issues especially on the first rev firmware. For example if you take 15-20 flash photos consecutively without powering down your camera the flash recycle times will increase to about 15sec, so you'll have to wait about 15sec before you can take another flash photo. The work around is to power down the camera and then turn it back ON. Another strange behaviour is manifested by its inability to lock focus after taking a "no-flash" photo, then popping up the flash and trying to take a flash photo. Again the work-around is to power down the camera, pop-up the flash and then power it back up. Confirmed these behaviours in two other cameras of the same model.
oh, i know what you felt, however i can give suggestion that might help you with. your cam can be fixed by specialist/ technician for cameras. I suggest that you should go to registered repair shop or to the store where you bought that camera they will fix it for you. Good Luck.
It can be fixed, but I would be willing to bet that you would rather put the amount of money toward a new digital camera. They are extremely inexpensive, especially for Christmas this year. Splurge and get a second, new camera for yourself, and give the old broken screen one to someone who doesn't have a digital camera.
Good luck, and Merry Christmas!
How broken- more detail
if it is cracked - use tape.
If it no longer works- checkout a repair at Sumsung customer support
the price will be more than half the cost of reeplacing the camera
