You shouldn't need a disk, but you will have to make sure you have downloaded and installed
the latest usb drivers and any software updates available for your phone and/or operating system. See also

If you're trying to download the photos without the Motorola phone tools, it will help to have image viewer software installed on your computer that will be able to download the photos into a folder where you can sort and access them. One free program that works well for me is Fastone Image Viewer, though I haven't tried it with your phone...The Image Viewer software will recognize your phone as if it were an external storage device or camera with photos stored on it, and you simply transfer the files you wish to save to your computer...
If you want to use the Motorola Phone Tools, you'll have to purchase the cd. See
