You need to use the carrier (cardboard cover) that the lamination paper comes with.. if you dont use the carrier your plastic will stick to the hot rollers... you will need to take it apart and clean out the plastic.. easy to dow hen it is cold peels off easily... pain in the neck getting it back together as the wires in the front interfere with the front screw post...

So, you seem to have thought better and bought another laminator. I know that this is not very important and reading Complainterator about laminating paper is very important for me now and it must be important for you, too because it helps to avoid problems.

I jammed the laminating machine, so I unscrewed and opened the machine...but now I don't know how to roll out the paper? Please help me find a way to take this out without breaking the machine!

Carefully try to turn the roller one direction and then the next. If they move, you will see the feed direction the paper loaded from. Carefully move the rollers in the opposite direction letting the paper unwind. Do not force the gears. Hopefully the paper is not fused to the rollers.

How do I remove the back of my GBC laminator to remove paper that is stuck inside the unit?

First, you must take out 4 screws out of the cover on each side of the laminator , then you will see the screws that hold the back panel onto the laminator. West Laminating secs 405-324-6092

I have a xerox laminator and it will not feed

Unplug the machine. Then try to look, using a flashlight, if there are any obstacles that may interfere with the feeding. try to gently tilt the machine and try to remove any obstructions. If you can't see anything, try to force something through the feeding path and see if something is stuck in there.
If this doesn't work, them you might want to take it apart.

A laminate and paper jam in a Gbc HeatSeal H425 Laminator

You need to loose the vertical plastic wall on the left side, and pull it up and to the left, only then you would be able to take pink rollers and metal piece away. Step by step do this (BTW, make pictures of each step if you think you will not be able to assemble it back) :

Download parts scheme here (if link is broken I can send you; write to ororeivis [at] g mail com):
http://www.gbcconnect.com/assets/docs/H425_PARTS_POUCH_LAMINATOR.pdf

Take the lid (3) off and hang it on the corner.
Next goes off (42) part.
Now focus on the left side. Take to the side part (30) with 7mm wrench. Then both parts (14) from both sides [4 in total]. Then both parts (2). Then take out screws that are holding this vertical plastic wall place. There is two screws from the outside of laminator in the bottom!
Then black roller (36) you lift up and take out by sliding to the side. Then two long black metal pieces.
Now you should be able to pull up and move to the left that vertical plastic wall on the left side of laminator. If not, try loosing some screws that are in this wall.
Be careful taking melted jammed stuff away from heating panel. Do not over-scratch it, as it is very sensitive.

The unit was heated up and when I insert the laminator pouch with the document to be laminated it does not feed. it just cooks the front edge of the pouch. do I need to let the unit cool and start...

Hi, there's a seperate switch for the moter on my laminator. After the device is heated up you need to turn on the switch, so the mechanism starts to pull in the pouch.

The sheet im laminating rolled up inside, cannot get it out

Water-based cleaners will not work with this type of adhesive. Rubbing alcohol or a citrus-based cleaner (eg, Goo-Gone) will be required.

You're lucky. My pouch won't even go in! Poor quality product and as I've had it in the box for so long before trying it, I can't even send it back!
