Hi I have a nokia N79 which stops working and freezes after turning it up , and it,s impossible to use it. each time to swich it off ; I did the *#7370# I did the reset factory, I install the antivirus and also updated the Fireware... none of them worked and still i cant use it. Can you help me aith this?

There may be some oxide coating below the keypads, try to open the keypad and dome-sheet beneath and clean the contacts.

firstly, try removing memory card to ensure its not a memory card problem.

then, i would suggest a hard reset to the problem. type *#7370# and enter your lock code. preset lock code is 12345.

Do note that it will reset the phone to factory settings and therefore you need to backup your data prior. Using nokia pc suite content backup is convenient, though you'll have to re-install all apps.

a clean format of your memory card from the phone is also recommended after the reset.

I m having the same problem with mine... I took the battery out and put the phone in the freezer over night thinking it would remove some moisture... don't know if it did anything but today it works. Thinking about replacing it with a 5800 if it does not work.

i believe if a phone freezes and stops,it is possible that that it internal memory is packed up with too much data like videos ,musics.etc.transfer all your songs and videos to your memory card it will make your phone process faster

This is only caused due to out-dated Firmware. Try updating the Firmware by using the phone's PC Suite.
