My samsung sincmaster 153v black screen but still a picture

Time for a new one. Most likely the inverter for the backlight is burned out. It's not a difficult replacement but by the time you've located one, paid for it and spent two hours replacing it in a monitor that old you've spent more money and time than buying a brand new 17"-24" would cost. Time to treat yourself to at least 1920x1080

Blank TV screen after switch on

Hi.

The most common problem for this fault is the invertor failed.
The invertor is a HT circuit with 2,4,6,8, transformers on one or more of the tranformers will be open circuit.
Its relatively easy to replace but could be dificult & expensive to buy.

I have sam 51on lcd moniter with dim display problem

The screen displays is dark/ dim because there is no backlight.
There are two parts responsible for lighting the display. First is the CCFL (Cold Cathode Florecent Lamp), which is the back light and the second is the Inverter board, which provides high voltage to the CCFL. Either of the parts can be faulty or in some rare cases both.
In most of such cases that I received for repair, it was Invertor. Inspect the Invertor for any apparant physical damages (burnt coil or circuit components etc). Inverter can be checked by disconnecting the present CCFL and connecting a fresh/ working CCFL (Backlight) before actually removing the CCFL as it is difficult and unnecessary to take it out if its not the fault.

I SUGGEST THAT YOU SEEK PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE FROM AUTHORISED SERVICE/ REPAIR CENTER FOR REPLACEMENT OF CCFL OR INVERTER.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

I turn on my samsung syncmaster710 and it just has a black screen, with a faint (very faint box floating around it. is this a fualty backlight?

The backlight invertor seems to be defective.
Check the main power supply board for bad capacitors (visible damage ) and make sure that the invertor tubes do not light up for a moment when you power up the monitor ( in that case their probably is one or more light tube defective (burnt)) --

Replacing LCD Screen

it depends on if the exisiting invertor is fine or not. If the panel is being replaced because it was cracked etc, then the chances are the invertor is fine and will not need replacing. Obviously if you don't get the same replacement panel that Dell originally used, then you may have to buy a different invertor & figure out the wiring connections to attach it to the motherboard.

Cracked camrea Samsung S1030

I don't know the replacement cost, but I can bet it is nearly the cost of your camera. You might be better to find one on ebay that has a good LCD and transplant it. It may be a little difficult, but not impossible.

Lost picture on LCD TV

Hi.

Your problem is very lightly to be A faulty invertor pcb.
Relatively easy to replace but you may find it difficult to purchase.

The invertor pcb basically makes high voltage to strike up the tube lights behind the screen.

What make & model is your tv set & what country are you in.

D600 screen went very dim

You also might check to see if there is a HOTKEY setting for the brightness of the screen (usually FUNCTION or FN and then some key on the top row).

Replacing the backlight on an LCD is a very advanced and trouble prone procedure, unless you are good with soldering and taking things apart, you should probably use it with an external monitor or think about getting a new machine. :>|
