These blinks [flashes] are fault indication. You can get an idea about the faulty stage circuit inside the TV, by the number of these blinks. Count it carefully, by switching it ON and OFF, more than 2 times at least, so that, you can make sure about the number of these blinks. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. 2 possibilities. First, the bulb which allows you to view your picture could be burned out. If that is the case, your tv will turn on and you will hear audio but no picture. $85 for a new warranted bulb from Shopjimmy.com. Second possibility. If your TV is on with no picture or sound, you probably have a light engine problem.$325. I don't think it's your light engine. Just don't have enough information. Check the first possibility first. The bulb takes less than 5 minutes to replace. Don't buy just the bulb, buy it with the housing. It doesn't cost more, it costs less and saves a ton of aggravation. Don't touch the bulb with your fingers, use latex gloves when working on electronics.
If the status led is blinking yellow its indicating that the filter cover on the side is open. If its the lamp indicator thats blinking yellow its indicating the lamp door cover isnt attached properly.
If the second light is blinking to orange or red, that is usually the lamp indicator light on an LG DLP tv. That indicates your bulb needs replaced, or something surrounding the bulb has failed (like the cooling fan for the bulb for example) IF you have a spare bulb handy, I'd replace the bulb, keeping in mind if you touch any part of a new bulb with your bare hands, you just cut the life of the bulb by more then half.
Check that the lamp door is closed all the way. There is a saftey switch that closes from the door being on all the way. If not the status light will keep blinking. There is also a switch on the air filter door.
