Printer: HP C4599 All in One, Limited Ed Wireless Error message Printing cartridges missing or not detected. both cartridges are in the printer. This error message appeared 4 days ago, Have any idea what I can do as I need to print some stuff

If you are getting Incompatible ink cartridge error and These cartridges were replaced a year ago, I think its time you call them once again. ( 1-800-474-6836 ) and report the issue. They will ask you for the Cartridge details like part # and expiry date on the cartridge.

The cartriges are damage. This is one of the normal problems with refill cartriges.

Try to clean the contact dotted points both on catridge and printer with a clean cloth or cotton swab. Insert another catridge or previously used catridge to find whether the problem is with printer or new catrige.

Switch off the printer and switch on again,Unclip the cartridges one by one and clip back in again this sometimes cleans out the connector pins.This has happened to me.

Hi there, " Unplug the printer cable from the computer. " Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications " restart the computer " try to download drivers from the website " after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer. " then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.



Print cartridge
When the print cartridge contacts are dirty and the printer cannot detect/communicate with print cartridge.
Clean the contact points on the cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth.
1. Open the top cover of the printer.
2. Remove the print cartridges.
3. Clean the copper-colored contact points on the cartridges with a damp, lint-free cloth. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture from the contacts.
5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
6. Close the top cover.
7. Try printing again.
If you still cant communicate try with new cartridge .

I had the same problem. I called HP and went through the steps they had asked me to go through to fix it. It took about an hour. Nothing worked. They offered me a replacement. I said no, and they offered me a $150 gift card for Staples.

Are you sure you installed the ink cartridges correctly? They should snap in and then you should be able to do a Printer Test/Align cartridges function. 
Which error message is it putting out?
