I just bought a new battery charger cable called (Sealed Lead-Acid Charger) to replace an older (Lead Acid battery charger). The New Battery charger will charge for about 2 to 5 minutes and then stop charging. The old charger (Lead Acid battery charger) used to keep charging until you unplugged it from the socket keeps but the cable is has been loosened by people yanking it out holding the cord so much it has become unusable.

Ismail the charger you bought should do the job. By stop charging do you mean the light on the charger turns from yellow to green? Your scooter has small batteries 12/12 and don't require along period of charging. Now the scooter has a heat sensor for the batteries and will cut off charging when temp of the batteries gets too high. The older charger could have overcharged your batteries and made them weaker instead of stronger. I would suggest you replace the batteries (2 12/12AH) and charge them with the new charger. Remember to reinstall the heat sensors on each battery when replacing. If you have a digital voltmeter set it to 200 v dc and put the leads into the 2 outer plugs in the charger port on the battery pack. You should read 24-26 volts dc when the batteries are fully charged anything less would mean weak batteries. Hope this helps you

When I turn my luggie scooter on the light blinkd 3 times. I just bought a used lithium battery and charger (and adaptor for sla battey conversion to lithium). I read that 3 blinks means voltage is too...

hi, okay the charger is 29.5v charger so the batteries will go as high as 32 voltage,

Was the battery originally come supplied with a lithium battery ? because you mention the SLA adaptor ?

If you have the luggie that came with the Lead acid battery , the voltage would be lower and I think that 's the problem, fitting a lithium battery on a (controller ) configured scooter for a Lead acid means a lower voltage hence the error message.

looking at a max of 30 volts Lead Acid,
29.5 (top charge ) 36v Lithium battery.

VETERANS HOME JUST GAVE ME A USED QUANTUM WHEELCHAIR AND PRIDE MOBILITY CHARGER. HAS AGM BATTERIES. CHARGER MODEL EA11488 SAY LEAD ACID BATTERIES ONLY ????

AGM batteries( absorbant glass mat ) batteries have a different charge rate to ordinary lead acid batteries
it is all abiut the charging rate or charging volts so the charger you have may not be suitable for the AGM batteries in the chair
the difference in the lead acid battery and the AGM battery is the construction
Lead acid batteries will spill acid if tipped over where as a AGM the acid is absorbed in the glass mat or is an acid gel
to get a read of what it is all about go www.batteryuniversity.com and you will see what I am refering to
next best thing is to ring your local battery shop and ask then what charger you should be using for AGM batteries and if a normal lead acid battery is suitable for the job

Can I charge ev warrior with standard battery charger?

Yes, But. 2 pack so 6volt each, I will assume standard lead acid batteries as the is common, and that is what the pic shows. depends on what you call standard charger, I would not do it with my 40 year old standard charger, although at a push, it will still charge them, but need to keep a check on them, later chargers, monitor the battery voltage, and adjust output to suit. All chargers work the same way, so basically yes, but keep a check on them, not running to hot etc. check voltage if you can. But they all work the same way, just later cells are used to the controlled cct of later chargers. especially with them being so called sealed, they still let gas escape, via a pin hole, If they get hot, to much gas, going out, reduces the effiency of the electrolyte, so will reduce the life, BUT as long as you keep checking them and stop if they get hot no problem, they will get warm anyway.

Where can I purchase a charger and manuel for a EZ Rider Wild Child Motorcycle

you could try the original supplier or ebay and failing that you could try searching online for a pdf manual and just buy any charger that is the correct type voltage and most importantly polarity, having looked at the bike its a childs harley type bike and is 6v 4ah and likely a sealed lead acid type so i would buy a 6v 500ma lead acid charger, if there is a charge port you will need a plug to match and you will need to check the polarity is correct or if there is easy access to the battery terminals you could just use the crocodile clips to the corresponding terminals on the battery itself there is a selection of chargers here 6V Lead Acid Battery Charger eBay a 500ma charger will charge the bike in 8hrs the higher the ah the faster it will charge but i wouldnt go much higher than 500ma without checking with the vendor that it is suitable for a 4ah battery hope this helps

Blackberry Charger / Sealed Lead Acid Battery

Depends mostly on the voltages and how long you want to wait, but you will have to accept the risk of frying the charger by exceeding the 700mA rating. If the voltage output of the charger is about 10 or 20% higher than the nominal voltage of the battery then it might be OK. If the output of the charger is less than or equal to the battery voltage, then it won't work at all. The smaller the differences in the voltages, the less the risk of overheating the charger, but the longer it will take. If you are in the "sweet spot" it will probably take 6 -8 hours to charge the battery.

When I plug in the charger is shows green, but the scooter does not run. Should I replace the battery or the charger? E100 razor.

Check the voltage output of the charger. It should be about 28 volts. Most likely your batteries are dead (over 2 years old?)

When I plug the battery in to be charged the light on the charge stays green. The light never changes to orange/amber. This is not a new battery I have had it for a while.

Your SLA (Seal Lead Acid) battery is must likely past its useful life due to Sulfation and internal mechanical damage (corroded plates): your charger, like for most car lead acid battery charger is indicating that only a very small charging current is flowing just like when a battery if fully charged ... or the terminals are not connected (no current)! You can check if the charger is working by preferrably using a multimeter or connecting a know good battery unit to the charger.
