    abnormal one beep code apart from the normal beep which we hear while powering on,is a indication of motherboard failure .....replace MOTHERBOARD.

    If that is the code for motherboard failure it probably does need replaced. Unfortunatly Dell uses the poorest quality components out there. If you decide to repair instead of replacing your computer, check to see if Asus makes a motherboard that will fit. If not I would consider replacing the system. Dell and Gateway are your bottom end computers. Next step up would be Toshiba, E- Machines or Sony. Stay with an Intel dhip AMD gets too hot and they generaly do not last as long. If you really want a good system move on up to HP\Compaq, IBM or Panasonic.

    mine starts but it beeps when it starts up. there is no any problem exept that continuous beep untl it finally log in..

It start beeping until XP window come up,
It could be a bad memory module. Try removing and reinstalling them. Try one module at a time to see if beeping stops . Check all other connections to make sure they are properly connected. Hope this helps.

Dell inspiron mini 1010 RAM problem
Make sure you test the ram with memtest86+ in the slot that is working correctly. Also make sure you have all your ram seated correctly so you can definitely rule out the RAM as being a problem.

If you tried different memory in the same slot and it still has the problem then the ram slot is likely bad and not the ram. So if you really need to add memory then yes the motherboard would have to be replaced.

That being said however, I'm not sure the cost of replacing the motherboard would be worth it. Personally, I would save off any important info and sell as many of the good parts as I could on eBay (HDD, RAM, Screen, keyboard, battery, power cord/adapter, etc) and buy a new one.

You'll need to contact Dell and have them try to reset the password. They will ask you for the service tag and error code.

My Dell v515w printer won't print from my Dell inspiron mini 1011---both are on wireless home network
Might need to install the driver for the printer first! If you don't have a disk with the driver, go to the manufactures web site, to their 'driver downloads/downloads/support' where you should be able to find the driver after entering your printer model information.

Hi. We have à Dell
I would run a Check disk utility to check for errors in system files. Try running Scandisk or CHKDSK/F if they are loaded, if not go online and download CheckDisk,exe. Make sure it is for your OS otherwise it may not work properly.
