Synching Mouse or Keyboard with Wireless Optical Desktop
Question
My
mouse or keyboard doesn't work with my Wireless Optical Desktop (Model
Number: 64373). What's wrong and how do I fix this problem?
Answer
Your
mouse or keyboard has lost its sychronization with the Wireless Optical
Desktop, which can occur after changing the batteries, for example.
To synchronize your wireless device with its receiver:
- Move the device within three (3) feet of the receiver.
- Press the button on the receiver.
If the receiver has an LED, the light blinks.
- Within ten (10) seconds, press the button on the underside of your wireless device.
If the receiver has an LED, the light glows solidly when synchronization is successful.
Early production units of some wireless devices may require repeating the above instructions two or three times.
Timing, distance, and objects impeding the wireless signal may
influence your success. While usually unnecessary, some customers have
reported better results by:
- Holding the wireless device very close, within three (3) inches of the receiver.
- Entirely ignoring the receiver's light.
- Simultaneously holding the buttons on both the receiver and the device for from ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds.
