The generic PIN (Which is what I'm guessing you need) for most bluetooth devices is either 0000, or 1234. Please try those and see if that solves your problem.

Open the boom. Then press and hold multifunction button until steady blue. Then search for headset on HTC. After that enter passkey on phone if prompted. It is 4 zeros.
on the phone : go to settings then wireless turn bluetooth on go to bluetooth settings click scan devices
on headset press and hold power button when its off untill the light stays on
on the phone you should see your bluetooth headset click it if you dont press scan devices again the pin/pair code is 0000 or 1234 usually you should be good to go
I have an HTC Desire, I find that if I answer on the phone by touching the phone screen's answer button it answers in the phone :( But if I push the button on the bluetooth to answer it answers in the bluetooth - very annoying but appears to be an HTC issue not motorola's
To pair your bluetooth with your new phone...
Step one: make sure bluetooth is fully charged. While off, press down and hold the mulitifunction key on the bluetooth until light remains on.
Step two: put your phone in discoverable mode and click on add new device to search.
The phone will then find the bluetooth.
