My ricoh keeps telling me that the toner is running low even when i've just replaced it. It will print for awhile and just display the message running low and then it stops completely. Any clues anyone out...
Sometimes with those small copiers, the cap from the old toner bottle will remain when you put in a new bottle. Take out the toner bottle and look in the mouth of the toner hopper (where the top of the bottle sits) to make sure there isn't a plastic cap with two fins on it sitting there. If it is there, that's your problem -- just throw it away.
If there's no old toner cap there, make sure the toner bottle is sitting on the hopper tray and the tray is pushed in, snapped into place, and the green handle on the front is in the downward position. If the toner hopper isn't pushed in all the way so it snaps in, the machine won't be able to load toner.
If neither of these scenarios is the problem, check to make sure you have the right kind of toner. I believe for a 1515 it should be type 1170D, but you might want to check your owner's manual to be sure.
so why don't you reconnect it then?
