I have a Samsung cell phone that has been working great for the last 1 1/2 years. The other day, all of a sudden, my phone now says unsupported battery. This is the same battery that I have had all along.???

Try a new battery. Many phones do this when the battery goes defective.
It is also possible that the battery control circuits in the phone are defective. This is less common.

I just got a new samsung alias because screen damage.They transfered my battery to the new phone, but the new will not charge, and says "nonsupporting battery" when i try to turn it on. Any suggestions to how to fix it?

samsung glyde and it says non supported batter. see user guide and i was charging it and it was going fine then i took it off then putt it on again and thats what it said

Dang! same problem same variables.
Uninstall any other battery apps. remove battery wait 30 seconds and put battery back in and start phone. make sure you use the original charger and plug it in. if this doesn't work, try this next. with charger connected, shut down phone and remove battery. wait 30 seconds and install battery and power up. they should charge now. I had this problem with my samsung charge with 2 original batteries. they both all of a sudden said they were non-supported battery? one battery work fine for the first step and the second battery worked with the second step. Good Luck!
