unlikely to be from a virus attack but from a failing hard drive
formatting the hard drive will totally remove all data and operating systems so ensure that you have the ability to reinstall the operating system for the security system
right click on that hard drive , click on properties , click on formatting disc
press ok and everything will be gone

About the internet connection issue, There might be a problem with the operating system, some system files might be corrupted due to virus attack, I suggest you to scan for the viruses first, If still problem persist then check the cables used to connect the internet. I suggest you try with the re-installation of the operating system.
Audio issue: By looking at your issue I can say there might be virus attack. Please do a check once. Install the video player codec again and try to insert the dvd, I am sure you will get the audio.

Your best bet is to do the following; 1 download either SuperAntiSpyware or MalWareBytes update via the internet and scan the disk (these are excellent and both Free)
2 Remove any Malwere they recommend
3 If the message still comes up download and run Trojan Remover - this will remove it.
Then make sure you are protected in future by installing an anti-virus system like (if you dont want to pay) Avira or Avast or if you do Kaspersky or Bitdefender
check if the sound card is properly installed.
to check:
- go to start, point to computer, click manage, then click device manager. if there's a yellow sign on your audio, you need to install your audio driver
