My nokia 5130c-2 memory card has a password after resetting the restoring the Factory Settings which i cannot remembered. Can you please help me how to delete it without deleting my files inside that memory?

Hard reset/Format/Restore to Factory Settings the phone by entering *#7370# and you will need to select "YES" for restoring to factory defaults. Remember that it will delete the settings and data saved in the phone not on the memory card but it will still be advisable for you to have a back up of everything before doing so.

I too have same phone. so just goto settings in your phone and in the end of the list you will find restore factory settings option. click it and everything will be made to default settings.

To reset your cell dial code *#7780# or *#7370# which restores the factory settings. it will ask you to confirm that press OK. it will take some time and your handset will be format & restored to original settings. When it ask reset password and u have not changed it before then Default security code for nokia is 12345

But if you format the whole phone memory then follow the procedure below

First of all Switch off your phone then press and hold 3 keys combined

• Green dial key
• Star key no *
• No 3 key on keypad

then press the power on to switch on the phone.

• In the process don't leave the 3 press and hold keys, After some time the phone will format completely

Note: Remember one things this will deletes all your messages, all contacts, photos, notes etc in the phone memory.Your phone is like a new phone. So better is first save all your data and then restore it.

Default security code for nokia is 12345

I have nokia 5130c and the memory card is demanding of password which i have forgetting it

Go to file manager in your mobile,

In the "Settings" option,

Choose system folders,

In the "System" folder there's a file called "MMCSTORE",

Send that to your PC using IR/Bluetooth,

Then open it in notepad.

The password you need for your memory card is in that file

Remove off the battery and memory card, check the memory card for virus if so delefe such files off. Now put back the battery and see if the sofftware loads and gets quicker, if so reset to factory settings by opening the menu, phone setttings, restore to factory settings, type :12345.
If not the software might need to be reloaded.

The factory restore settings will help from the problem of mobile getting hanged.Initially remove memory card and format it.If you not able to remember the reset security default settings password better flash the mobile with the latest firmware.It will give you a fix
