Maytag stopped getting cold, buzzing noise every now and then after pwr outage

It seems we have the same predicament. For two days my
Maytag MSD2732GR is making buzzy noises every 5 minutes or
so, but it sounds like it will not be long before it goes silent. All my ice cream is now cream soup. I had an A/C unit plugged into the same
circuit for a couple of days when my unit was down. The A/C tripped the breaker twice, and so I
am concerned it may have helped the situation. I have only had it for about 3 years.
I would appreciate any advice on how to start the diagnosis process. Thank you.

I have the same problem except we didn't hear the buzzing noise but the power did go out for just a very few minutes.  The freezer still seems to be working okay and the fridge is working but not cold even though I've turned the temp up to 7.  We had bought an extended warranty that expired 7/7/08.  Sorry now we didn't renew.   How long is the warranty on the compressor on this fridge?  Any advice you could give would be welcome!
