Press cursor-right repeatedly to cycle through the various flash modes. The one you want is the lightning bolt in a circle with a slash through it. For full details see the "Using the flash" section in the reference manual (beginning on page 72 in my copy). If you need a manual you may download a copy from here.
I have a suggestion. ORF is probably "Olympus Raw File" format and you need software to open raw files. See if your camera came with software to do this or use GIMP, PHOTOSHOP, Adobe lightroom. Read your owners manual and change from RAW file to JPG formats. That way, almost any program can open them.
You have to navigate through the menu to get to the ALL ERASE or FORMAT selection.
MODE MENU>>>CARD>>>CARD SETUP>>>ALL ERASE or FOMAT
When you turn the camera ON and press OK, you will get the "first menu". Press the right arrow to enter the Mode Menu. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the above item. Once on ALL ERASE or FORMAT, press OK.
Press down-arrow repeatedly and select the timer (looks like a one-handed clock). Press the shutter button to take the picture. The control lamp lights for about ten seconds, blinks for two, then the camera takes the picture.
Refer to the section "Using the self-timer" in the Reference Manual.
You can use the lens from your old OM camera on the EVOLT E-410. You would need to purchase an MF-OM-1 adapter to make those lenses fit the new digital SLR camera. Also when using those lenses the camera would need to be used in Manual mode as there is no auto focus capability when using the old OM lenses.
I have the Olympus e-410 and I cant get the pictures to upload to my PC. I have connected it and have gone into easy print and normally that works. I have even had to turn the camera off and on a few times and then it will kick in but it wont do any of that this time. I cant find the manual and it was my husbands camera before we got married and he only upload once before that. HELP!
