I have bought a kenwood kdc-241 car stereo i have downloaded my mp3 s onto cd-r (about 60 of them)when i put it into car stereo they play but no sound comes from the system (the radio sound is working also the disc plays on my pc)

Hi If anything the stereo was probably designed and tested using a certain version of the Iphones software, now that version 4 has been released the way the IPhone communicates may have changed.

As a result the stereo is no longer able to talk to the phone and vice versa. your probably best off contacting Kenwood direct to see if they are aware of this problem and if there is anything that can be done about it.

If the Kenwood is compatible with USB memory adapter, then you will have an USB port on the front side of the player, just aside the CD slot.

If the stereo is MP3 compatible, that does not mean that the unit is compatible with USB devices.
If the Kenwood is MP3 but not USB compatible, you can play MP3 files burning them onto a CD, then playing the MP3 CD in the CD player.

i have a kenwood kdc-241 car stereo and it has gone onto protect mode i have done everything it says in the manual and even taken it out of the car just in case it was damp i have tried putting it back in but still is in protect mode can anyone help me please

buy an adapter that connects in to the cd changer connetor this output is in the back of your cd player(get it at Best Buy)

you have to activ ate the aux port form the menu, on standby hold the menu button and then use the control knob on the right to change the aux to on1
