The W2753v does not include speakers so it has no sound capabilities built in, you would need external speakers.

SOURCE: There appears to be 3 1/4 inch in diameter

While the LCD screens are made of glass the pieces that make up the back light and diffusers are made of plastic either the monitor is poorly ventilated (not enough room around the monitor, too much dust buildup in the monitor components) causing it to run hotter than desired, or the CCFL"s are getting too hot and blistering the plastics in the screen area. I would not leave this monitor unattended as the plastic could get hot enough to burn and possibly cause a fire

Control panel not responding

the controls are bad. get a new monitor
or order a new control set, from maker.
is it still in warranty?
some are 1year.
read your warranty car, and read the manual for authorized
LG service, its all in the box , new. read that.
or go to LG.com and read there. for service.

in my estimate the keys are shorting. this is common, if they are hit too hard. ship damage etc.
I remove the key pad , cable, if the pop ups stop, BINGO.

I HAVE A LG Full HD 1080p HDMI W2753V-PF 27-inch LCD Monitor (Refurbished)...I WAS USING MY COMPUTER WHEN IT TURNED OFF..THE COMPUTER WAS STILL ON ...BUT THE MONITOR JUST TURNED OFF...AND IT WOULD TURN ON...

This is a common problem with LCD monitors after a few years of use. The filter capacitors on the power supply/Inverter board have failed and the power supply board can not start up right. You can repair the board by replacing the defective capacitors. Here is a picture of the power supply board model LGP26-09P from the LG W2753V monitor and below the picture is a link to a repair guide for that model.
