How do I fix my washing machine

If your washer was working previously please read below.
Thermal Overload Protection

Your washer may display the LE code if the thermal overload protection circuit in the motor has been tripped. The feature is designed to prevent the motor from overheating and causing permanent damage to the washer. To clear the error code, the motor must cool down. Allow the washer to sit for approximately half an hour before restarting the cycle. If the code reappears, the motor may have an issue that requires a service call. Unplug your washer and contact LG.

LG wm6042h washing machine. LE code for motor overload.

This is normally a common problem on LG tromms. The cause of this error code is as stated "motor overload" . The most common fix to this problem is replacing the hall effect sensor. But.... If you weren't getting this code before replacing the bearing I would recommend checking the sensor to make sure it's plugged in correctly.

Lg wd-3245rhd LE error message

This seems to be a fault in the motor wiring harness, check all the connectors to and from the motor, check the male and female connectors. Also check the sensors to the motor which can cause this motor to show up as overload.

What does code LE mean? The washer stops and LE appears

Code LE signals an overload to the motor. Wait 30 minutes and restart the cycle. If the code is not released, you need to call a service technician.

5 year old LG WD-1219BD has error code LE, ''overload in motor''

Hi,

LE is a very bad error unfortunately. It means that your motor communication is being lost. Generally on these LG washers it means that you need to replace the motor sensor. You will have to take the back panel off so that you can access the motor, remove the pulley and take the motor off, there is a little plastic sensor that clips onto the edge of the motor. The sensor is not sold separately from the motor so you will have to replace the motor unfortunately.

Part would cost you around $120 plus labor.

This is a common error on LG. Better to repair and use it or fix it yourself.

Hope i helped you,

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Washer

Greetings jannd,

The message "LE" can indicate that the thermal overload protection circuit in the motor has been tripped. The remedy for this can be to allow the washer to stand for 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool, then restart the cycle. If the LE error code still appears, unplug the washer and call for service. Keep in mind that this unit carries a 7 year warranty on the motor also.

I hope this helps!
Best regards,

Dorothy

Shows "LE" in display.

"LE" error means the motor has overloaded. There is no way to fix this yourself. You will probably need a new motor. Call for an engineer.
