I typed Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 manual into google and up came a pdf i downloaded it and find it hard to follow too. Perhaps change to S (shutter priority) then see what options come up
1. Set the mode dial to P 2. Press the menu/set button 3. Select the setup option 4. Scroll through the setup listings until you get to 'reset' 5. Select the reset option to reset your camera.
