Have you checked your brightness controls

  • Anonymous Aug 14, 2011

That was the first thing we checked when ours had this issue. Had a tech come check it out. He said that it's the power inverters that supply power to the CFL tubes for the backlight. He can replace them for about $500 but there's no guarantee that it will be a permanent fix because the actual malfunction could be being caused by the panel itself . There are no replacement panels currently being manufactured for this model since it's so "old" (a little over 2 years!). I think we need to complain to Samsung! a $3500 tv when new should not be failing after only 2.5 years!

If you get a quick input blurb in the upper left corner when you first turn the tv on and maybe a portion of the screen gets backlight bleed light then quickly goes black (check this with the room really dark to be able to see it), it's more than likely the inverters. The unit has a failsafe that cuts all power to the inverters when it detects a malfunction and keeps them from powering the backlights.

I am having the same problem and actually happened to be there when it first occurred. The screen just goes dark. In our case, you turn it off then back on and you get a very brief flash showing the source name and then it goes dark again. In a very dark room, it looks like the backlight doesn't illuminate the lower left corner of the screen. Will be calling Samsung today.

Read the troubleshooting part of the manual and it said to unplug the tv for 30 seconds. That didn't work, so we left it unplugged overnight. Still no image.

Dell laptop screen unreadable

Yes, it won't change anything because it's not a software problem. It has something to do between the connection of your LCD screen and your motherboard. Or your LCD backlight has a problem with it.

What you need to do is to open your computer and reset the connections inside. It should be the connection between your motherboard and the monitor.

I suggest you visit www.support.dell.com for more information on how to do that or if you want help then you can contact dell's tech support if you still have the phone support warranty.

I hope this helps!

Every time i turn it on this weird black screen with fuzz going down it, when i take my game out the fuzz goes faster.

Well its because the rf switch is causing this problem so you could use the av cable like I do for mine.

Green fuzz on screen

If the green fuzz is only seen sometimes, it may be a cable issue. Check your cables to see they are tight and perhaps even replace them if the issue persists. If this doesn't solve your problem, the TV may have technical problems beyond your ability to fix - sounds like power issues.

Marshall mg100hdfx loud fuzz and distortion and no guitar sound

Check your input (guitar signal).
Also, check your gain and volume levels.
Make sure that you have a reliable, steady, and clean power source as well.
If the problem persists, contact the store from which it was purchased. There are a lot of things that can go wrong internally with the cheaper Marshall models.

Screen has lines going across one half and the other half was solid black, can not change input device or hear sound, does make fuzz sound when first turned on....

Sounds like the line output transformer is not soldered on the board properly or needs replacing. The quickest way to check for dry joints is if you tap the tv and the problem goes away then it needs soldering to the board properly. Otherwise sounds like a replacement line output transformer. Hope this helps.
