Camera problem with W580i

When I try to take a photo I get a message saying another application is running, please close it and try again. But no other application is open. I tried Master reset but it did not work.

    I just bought the w580i, and I'm having the exact same problem, I can't figure it out. every time I click to take a photo it says application running please turn it off, I've tried evrything I can think of if anyone has an idea pls let me know!!

this could be one of 2 things either the main camera(2MP) or the vga(video call) is faulty. you need to test the vga camera by going onto the video call mode. if that works then its the 2mp camera.

something is running on your phone,and you cant see it,i would call your service provider,and see if they can diagnos,if you have internet make sure its off,also if u have alot of photos that u dont need ,delete them

Sony erricson w580i phone-camera wont start-error message
Right reset your phone. Connect to a computer, click file transfer. take the phone out, this automatically resets it. After youre phone should work with camera, remember take one picture, if you dont then it wont work again. Same problem with me, and i fixed it.

Hello. Please close all the application that are using the cam. Restart the computer, then launch the application. This will solve the problem if not uninstall and reinstall the camera drivers, for the drivers either refer to the CD which came along to you or go to the camera manufacturer website ( ex:- HP.com etc) and download and instal.
