The white plastic(?) full length door handles OUTSIDE the refrig are turning yellow on my white, side by side refrig. What can I purchase or use to re-whiten them and make them look clean and white again?

That yellow coloring is most likely a result of the white paint coming off, and the yellow plastic color showing underneath. Other than painting them with a good paint, which you would have to ask a paint expert for the proper type, my suggestion is to replace the handles altogether.

Refrig door does not seal

First off, make sure nothing is stopping the door from closing completely. If the door is closing properly, then using a hair dryer, heat the gasket until soft and pliable. You can carefully stretch it towards the cabinet. There is a magnet in the gasket all the way around on the mating portion. While the gasket is soft, the magnet will pull the gasket until contact is made with the cabinet. Once a good seal has been accomplished, allow to door to remain closed for 30 minutes. The seal will cool down, and the new shape will be maintained. After that, close the door on a dollar bill. Gently tug the portion of the bill on the outside of the door from one corner to the other. There should be some resistance to your pulling. If the bill feels loose, apply more heat to the gasket in that area to improve the seal. DO NOT HOLD THE HAIR DRYER IN ONE PLACE TOO LONG AS IT WILL DAMAGE THE GASKET, AS WELL AS THE PLASTIC LINER.

How do you remove outside handle on driver's door on 2012 s60

On a S60, 2012, (drivers door) you first remove the plastic cover in under which you find the lock (with keyhole).
secondly, open the door and remove the 15 mm diameter plastic cover near the handle. Insert a long torx scrwdriver(T25 ?) in the
opening and while keeping the door handle "open" (this gives you the possibility to easily replace the handle later) Turn the torx until it stops
(do not use much force). Now you can pull out the metallic lock, peer
out the small white plastic under the door handle and pull out the handle. Do not turn the torx before you have replaced the handle.

In the case of back door, you start by finding the hole for the torx under the doors rubber sealing near the door handle.

Door handles have turned yellow and i can not get

Try straight chlorine bleach with gloves on that is. If this doesn't remove the yellow stain you can forget it. You will have to replace them instead.

Have an Amana Side by side refrig/freezer (model ACD2234HRS) that has a loose refrig door handle. How do you get access to tighten the door handle screws?

i believe there are plastic coverings that just pop off. they are located at the hinge, you will need to fully open the doors to get to them.

Door can't close on lg refrigerator

As you look straight at the white plastic square: Make sure the edge of the gasket is in place along the outer (in your case, left side) of the door. There is a metal spring near the white plastic square, and the end of that needs to be tucked into the groove of the door, not showing on the outside. Then, line up the white plastic square with the corresponding hole and use the palm of your hand to pop the gasket in, starting closer to the center of the door and working to the WP square area. (should only take about three hits.) Then, line up and snap on the long white plastic gasket retainer strip which runs from top to bottom along the inner edge of the gasket.

GE Side by Side refrigerator door handles yellowing

The brillant person posted the perfect solution. We just tried it this weekend. The plastic composite on the handles is not UV protected plastic, so it yellows or turns brown over time. You can't clean it, as it's a defect due to light exposure. We downloaded a diagram of our fridge and learned how to take off the handles. The top and bottom white portions pop off, but be careful when doing so. We gently lifted them off the metal backing and put a butter knife underneath so we would not damage the plastic. You can then see the clips that hold them in place. Gently pry them and they will pop out. You have to remove the top and bottom pieces first then it will expose the screws that hold the handles in place. You need a star type screwdriver-we found one at Home Depot. The metal strip is a simple backing and will just stay in place. Now, the key is the Krylon Fusion paint-Satin White, like the one person wrote. It's for plastic. Clean off the handles and make sure they are dry. Tape off the portions you don't want paint on and spray them outside with the paint. It dries quickly, but we waited about 8 hrs to put them back on. Just put them back on with the handles first and then the top and bottom portions-they cover the screws. Ours now look brand new! Cost? Only $6.50 for the can of paint and we got it at Walmart. If we had to replace them w/new handles? About $175. Thank you to whomever it was that shared this idea. It really works!
