First thing is to read my tip regarding a speaker polarity hazard of the PMP mixers.

Second thing is to VERIFY speaker cables are properly connected.

If you are using in stereo mode set the slider switch to MAIN L/Main R.

describing all possible configurations is not possible on here, but read your manual with this. If you don't have a manual, download one for free.

How to connect speakers to phonic mr3243 mixer

You would connect the xlr left and right outputs to a power amplifier and then the speakers to the power amp. The mixer will not drive a set of speakers by itself.

What amp setting do you use when you have two passive monitors 1 ea on amp 1 and 1 ea on amp 2?

You have two monitor outputs, each controlled by a fader. Plug the amp(s) you will be using to power the monitors into these, connect the monitor speakers to the amp(s) and you're set up and ready

Power mixer to a power amp.

You have two aux sends on that mixer so quite easy to use one of those to feed the external power amp. You could have one set of spkrs connected to that amp and another connected to the powered mixer. This would give you full independent control over each set.

How do i connect thump 15 A powered speaker to powered mixer?

You failed to give us the most important information... what brand and model of the mixer? Youwill use balanced interconnect lines to a balanced MAIN output jack, assuming it exists...

When using my peavey mixer XR212 in a live musical duo over the past 8 weeks of using it bought new we are getting a loud high pitched hissing sound when we sing loudly. We assume this may be the reverb...

Hi, most times when you use a mixer for too long and don't service it or take it to be serviced, itmight one day develop a fault by it self..

If i may ask, when have you taking it for servicing? If never, please do..

Sometimes dust entering into a mixer can make it malfunction.....

Since you know how to use the mixer properly, you don't have problem with that ok, Just take itto a repair man for servicing and he might tell you if something else is wrong with it after servicing it..

Take care..

Mixer does not sound "clean"; almost distorted

If more than one input is bad, then problem has NOTHING to do with the preamps. Check list:
1. Make sure you are using BALANCED lines everywhere... either XLR or TRS cables.

2. Make sure ALL interconnected equipment, mixers, amps, powered speakers, CD players, etc. are ALL powered from the SAME receptacle or power distribution unit.

3. Do proper setup. Select each channel PFL and set the trims so the indicator never goes into clipping, but is in the 70% range during max volume input to mics, etc..

4. During operation the sliders should be at least 50% up on used channels and the mains. Setting of levels throughout the system is important for noise free operation. Using EXCESS gain at some point results in distortion and noise. Using sliders near the bottom position results in poor signal to noise ratio.

Now re-read #2 above... and believe it. I have seen a lot of equipment blown due to ground bounce of building power. That is why the pro's run power back to their mixer from the area where the amps are powered.

My husband purchased one of your xr8600 peavey mixer the problem hes having is he cant get the echo settings right.please can you help.

View videos on YouTube regarding "mixer setup". Find the parts of setting up of "effects". Don't worry that you have a different mixer, the principles are all the same for analog mixers. Steps are this: Set the EFX send level for EACH of the input channels (knob above each channel gain) for the proportion you want for each channel. Check that the level you are sending does NOT cause the effect clip light to light very much. Set the effect you want, delay, echo, etc. with the selector knob. Advance the output sent to the power amp with the two knobs in the upper right of the panel. Adjust the "time" knob for the delay or effect depth you want. Then go over the same settings in the same order until you get the sound you want.

My G Major 2 has a signal from unit to mixer and from the mixer into another board. All is well as far as the chain is concerned. The guitar tuner works fine but for some reason I cannot hear any effects....

Have you remembered to use BALANCED TRS cables in and out of this unit?

Your description does not give us enough info about how you have this chained together.

DO REMEMBER that ALL interconnected equipment MUST be powered from the sme source or receptacle for system safety. It sounds like you have mixers tied into mixers. Check the power distribution. Many destroy equipment because stage power is used one place and mixer power is taken at the back of a room for example. The pro's know better than to do this and a power distributor using extensions to feed the remote devices are used.

SOME of the effects involve stereo to create, and the output of this device MUST maintain stereo all the way to the stereo main speakers. If your mixer goes to another board, it MUST do so as stereo and if they run it to two channels, those MUST be "panned" to opposite sides. That ALSO goes for your mixer itself... if you use two channels, they must be panned.
