It depends if it's just the lcd you can save it and keep using it but if the digitize starts to give you problems it is better to use some professionals it will save you $ in a long run.
i would imagine that the screen has gone bad.sense you said it started to fade..screen replacement is very easy on the V3. There are 4 screws on the cover under little rubber pucks. Then gently pop the back off.and you'll see the camera and the ribbon cables ..undo them carefully, the rest is very self explaining.
Your phone is stuck into Program mode. Only a service center can fix it. (unless it has water damage) Another solution is to purchase a broken V3t unit on ebay and switch out the main boards.
I have taken one of those apart and i know the main connectors that send the info to the screen are in that hinge that came a apart. The screen is either bad ( common with those ) the screen plug got detached from the circuit board inside which send the info and powers the screen. Jut my opinion, hope it helps.
Sometimes its a size limit issue. I know my phone does freeze up or restart with either too many programs using up the memory or too many songs, pictures, etc. on there.
Try removing some on there. If that fixes the problem them you are in the clear. If not, then there might be something internal going wrong with your set. Possibly a defective card reader..
