The machine has stopped filling the water container and now just beeps whenever it is turned on that the water container is full (which it isn't). Any suggestions?
Took advice...isolated from electricity supply...removed left side panel (side with condenser tank), to access the pump. Cleaned it all out (masses of water and grey lint!) and put it all back together again. Bit fiddly getting the panel back on...no screws left over...result!
All working great now.
Simpler solution maybe...There is a 'trap door' that can be removed, which gives access to the area where the water and lint accumulate.
1) Isolate from electricity supply.
2) Take out the condenser unit at the bottom LHS front of the machine (routine maintenance).
3) Underneath of where the condenser unit usually lives..at the back...reach in and open the 'trap door'. This needs a flat head screwdriver and you must release the two plastic clips holding the trap door.
4) You can now access the area where the water and lint accumulate...which makes the 'float' give a false container full fault.
5) Clean out this water and gunk regularly (once a month)!
Hoping this will avoid taking the side panel off again...
The container light on my bosch wte86308 keeps coming on even if the container is empty. The dryer will only operate for about a minute before the light comes on and the dryer stops working.
Thanks John. Great solution. I actually took the side panels off, but I was checking for obstructions to the pump.
If you actually turn the machine on it's back, the two clips actually come through the floor of the machine, and can be pushed out from the bottom. It's marginally easier than trying to get the flat head screwdriver into the machine.
This just happened to us - machine pumps the residual water into the tank and starts up but stops within 5 minutes; water seems to be condensing on the inside of the window. In our case we decided/discovered that there was too much, too wet washing (Our washing machine is temporarily n/a which means we have washed in the launderette and their machines don't spin as much water out). Put in half the load we originally had and it worked OK.
