Pink highlights on LCD screen

I have a Samsung LN-R268W 26 in. HDTV-Ready LCD Television, a few years old. Shortly after I bought it, began to notice a light pink-to-purple area of shimmer or ghost-mage on portions of the screen showing bight/white or bright/blue images. The pink shimmering or pool of color does not stay in one place, does not form a straight line, is not overly pixelated, and disappears when the bright image on screen changes to something else. Almost seems as if the "intensity" of the bright areas on screen is too high and changes white to pink.

I have the same problem. When I turn the back light brightness to anything over 5 (out of 10) i get the pink ghosting as well. Everything that is supposed to be white has this pink pixelated look to it.

Was bought in 09, I looked at all the caps described in other topics and find none to be bulged on the PS. The screen looks like areas of pink mixed with areas of green but all looks slightly pixelated snow. Set turns off and on from 10-30 second intervals.

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE MAIN BOARD IS BAD. THERE IS 2 DIFFERENT VERSIONS FOR THIS SET .AM02 UNITS OR VERSION 0001 UNITS. THE PART NUMBER IS BN94-00695E. THEY BOTH ARE ABOUT $210 + $50 CORE.

Samsung LN-R268W turns on off its own

There is some shorted component/s in the circuit broad inside. The set goes protection mode [short circuit]; as your reports here. To detect the actual fault point and board is a skilled work. must have through knowledge in electronics, and experience to work with these modes TVs.

Screen pixels sticking

Try changing the input device to something that works. If the display is same, there is a damage to the display and might need replacement.

Yes allmost all flat screens are wall mounteable. It will require find the screws or bolts holding the table mount to tv and removing. If your tv has extra threaded holes on back then it is mountable.

Stored on the right end in the box. now i have an uneven line on the right side of the picture when viewing. otherwise it looks fine an only apparent with certain colors...any fix other than buying a new...

If its under waranty take it back and get a replacement

You either a bad Main bd and or a bad P-Logic bd. Have a trained samsung tech trouble the set.

Screen goes completely out.

when it blanks out, tuen the lights out in the room, and shine a flash light at the screen, see if you can see the picture, if you can, it is the inverter moard blamking out, thats the board that lights the back lights, if you cant, hit the input button on the remote, if the TV comes back with a picture, it is a problem with the main board, in paticular the componant input on the main board

Samsung Model: HP-R4262 42" Plasma Problem, pink pixelation/ghosting

Onece the plasma heats up it shrinks a little, i think the cause is that you are low on plasma, so when i heats it shrinks and since the plasma cycles, the area low on plasma wil move slowly around the screen, take this to a repairman and more plasma can be added to it.
