iPhone will not ring on incoming calls, only vibrate... the silent switch is not the problem, but when I switch from silent mode to ring mode nothing happens (no bell icon). Have tried restoring, rebooting, etc... It did work initially, and then stopped ringing a few days after the phone was jailbroken. It has now been restored and updated on iTunes, and still not working... only vibrates on incoming calls.

i tried mine more than ones now . it does work just plug and unplug the headset few times and live it for a while .ring your number see waht happens . like i mentioned earlier if you used your headset with the iphone it goes onto headset mode and stays there for a while . by pluging and unpluging the headset releases the headset mode!!!!!!

SOURCE: İPhone not ringing

You may want to check this:

On the iPhone on the top, left-hand corner, there is a toggle button which controls your settings for silent or ring.

Here is a thread on Apple forums.

SOURCE: iphone doesnt vibrate

I had the same problem: my phone wouldn't vibrate at all... I read a lot on other forums and found the following solution: If you turn the phone face down, and hit it on the metal side a couple of times (I hit it with just enough force not to cause it any damage) the vibrate will come back on. I almost didn't believe this, until I tried it.

Good luck to you all.

How to Fix iPhone Not Vibrating?

If you are in a meeting or attending a special event, you probably set your smartphone to silent mode to avoid any distractions from your phone. But what if there is an emergency? You will miss the calls and texts from your phone and then regret it later after realizing that it is a very important matter that needs to be discussed with you.

If you don't want to disturb your meeting or the people around you when your phone receives calls or texts, then choose to vibrate mode instead of silent mode - at least you will be notified if your phone receives any notifications. But what if you are using an iPhone and you learned that the vibrate mode is not working. What would be the reason behind it?

Fix iPhone not vibrating

Now, if your iPhone is not vibrating when it receives calls, texts, notifications, or when you switch on the ring or silent mode, then you need to learn some of the solutions to fix this issue. Here are the 3 effective solutions that you need to know.

Solution 1: Check the iPhone Vibration on Sound and Haptics Settings
One of the basic things that you should learn about your iPhone is how to set the phone settings, especially the vibration mode. If your phone is not vibrating, go to your iPhone settings then navigate to the sounds & haptics option and check the vibration mode from ringtone to text tone - if off, turn it on. Then disable the focus mode that restricts the vibration of the app's notification.

Solution 2: Check the iPhone Vibration on Accessibility Settings
After enabling the vibration in the sound and haptic settings but still your iPhone is not vibrating, then go to the accessibility settings and check the vibration mode is turned on.

Solution 3: Fix iPhone not vibrating via iOS System Recovery
If the first two solutions didn't work on fixing the vibration issue of your iPhone, don't worry. With the iOS System Recovery, all iOS errors will be fixed including the vibration issue of your iPhone. This reliable tool can quickly solve any type of iOS error.

My iPhone incoming calls ring but do not vibrate, but all other notifications vibrate correctly.

Strange. I would try resetting your iPhone. Hold down the home and power buttons until it powers off. It should start up automatically but if not just press the power button. This has worked for me in the past when my iPhone has acted strangely.
Don't worry about a reset or hard reboot. You won't lose any data or settings.

My iphne 3 will only vibrate but not ring

If you're missing incoming phone calls due to your iPhone not ringing, you may have accidentally switched the ringer to vibrate or silent, according to Apple. The switch on the left side of the iPhone turns off the ringer and usually sets your phone to vibrate mode, but if your iPhone's vibrate setting is also disabled the phone will instead be set to silent mode. When in the phone's sound settings vibrate mode can be enabled, and the ringer volume of your phone is adjustable.

Iphone doesnt ring

Is the volume up fully (click on the volume buttons on the side)

Is it on vibrate? Very easy to inadvertently knock the sound switch to vibrate, which is located next to the volume buttons.

Hope this helps. Let me know if it doesn't.

Iphone 3g will not ring only vibrate. The Apple store said there was moisture, but it never was close to water. Tried to reset, and all the setting fixes. Nothing works. Apple said I would have to buy...

try going into the settings on your iphone. Then go to sounds. At the top of that page, it says vibrate and under it it says ring. Make sure that the slider next to the ring tap is on not off. I hope this helps!

İPhone not ringing

you can actually move the button , on the top left hand side of your iphone, over the ringer volume, you will see a red or orange dot, this means the switch has you iphone in silent mode, I was stuck on this, until I found it is a actual switch, look at it closely, you can move it. So where you see the red dot, put your finger on it and move it the opposite way, and I do not mean press the button, I mean, flip the switch on it, then your phone will not be in silent mode anymore,,, this was very annoying, I hope it helps anyone that has the same problem.
cheers!
