We had the same problem. Luckily, we had a service contract, so it was serviced yesterday. The fix involved the service guy going through a "service menu" and resetting the TV that way. He was not "allowed" to tell me how I can access the service menu, however. I do plan to research this on the internet in case it happens in the future. It is basically a software/computer problem, and unplugging the TV isn't enough to clear it unless the TV is unplugged for "a long time." The technician said the length of time depends on the condition of your capacitors. Anyway, as a temporary fix, he showed me that you can go into the PIP mode. The device toggle for PIP apparently did still work with mine, so I was able to switch the device on the secondary picture and then switch it to primary, then toggle the PIP off. Good luck!

How can you diagnose a failed lamp in a Mitsubishi DLP WD 52631

Remove the lamp and do a visual inspection.
If this is a DLP you may have a bad color wheel! whistling sound is a sign of color wheel.

Good luck to you

I dont know if it is my wii but my tv is black and white/grey and white what can i do to repair it?

If your TV is only black and white while playing on the Wii, this is indicative of a problem with either the A/V cable or the A/V ports on your television.
If you have a friend who owns a Wii, try using their cable, or change the A/V jacks to a different set of ports on your television.
NOTE: The A/V jacks are the red, white, and yellow plugs that plugs into your Wii on one end and into your TV on the other. If, for example, these jacks are under VIDEO1 on your TV and you switch the viewing mode to VIDEO1 to play Wii, then try moving them to a set of A/V plugs under VIDEO2. If this is an older TV, there may be only one set of plugs on the TV itself. Try the console on a different TV. It may be time to get a new television. This often happens on older TV's.

Wii plays in black and white.

Check if the tv has different types of AV settings, as this affects whether the wii plays in black and white or colour.

Plug in the wii system and everything comes in black and white

Try plugging it into another scart socket, this sometimes happens when a tv does not support 60hz. the result is a screen that has no colour. You could try just plugging it onto the seperate av inputs. Most tv's these days have one scart that will work ok and in colour.

Wii video is black and white

Possibly you've plugged the video into the component (RGB) portion of the input - this calls for 3 connectors (Red, Blue, & Green) and if you only plug one in from a composite it comes out grayscale. If you only have one video lead (yellow connector) make sure it is going to a composite connection which should also be yellow. Otherwise, more info is needed about your connections.
