Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 Digital Camera Logo

A couple of weeks ago my 2GB memory chip got full. I put the chip into my laptop and copied all the pictures and then deleted the pictures from my laptop. Since then, I am having problems taking pictures, every now and then (most of the time) the LCD display flickers changing its brightness like the camera is not measuring the right aperture, when I take a picture it shows with a VERY STRONG moire pattern, you can barely recognize the picture. I took out the memory chip and took a picture using the camera memory, but I am still having the same problem. I erased the camera memory, I reseted the camera to the default values but It did not fixed the problem. Thanks

This did not fix my problem. I re formatted the memory chip, and even used another chip but the problem persists. Here I uploaded 2 pictures taken in the same place with the same light and settings, taken seconds apart so you can see what is happening. http://i56.tinypic.com/10f87s7.jpg and http://i55.tinypic.com/fwiqv9.jpg

Erasing the pictures using the computer is the problem. Your camera does not recognize the card anymore. If your pics are safely on your computer, format the card in the camera to get it working again.

This did not fix my problem.
I re-formatted the chip using the camera and even used another chip, but I am still having the problem. I does not happens with every picture, I noticed it happens more often with exterior light. I uploaded two little pictures so you can see what the problem looks like. The pictures were taken in the same place with the same camera settings and same lighting conditions.http://i56.tinypic.com/10f87s7.jpghttp://i55.tinypic.com/fwiqv9.jpg

Hello,

you can not format your card without loosing data on it. The solution is to copy all the data to your computer, format the card (in your computer, still) and then copy the data back.

Hope this helps,

I put my memory card into laptop, message says my card is full, and yet i delete my pics from camera., do i have to delete from memory card also, if so how do i do that.

Did you delete the pictures from the internal camera memory and not the SD card? An easy way to solve this problem would be to insert the card into your computer and open up "My Computer". In here you should see your memory card mounted as a usable drive. Open up the SD card, select everything in it by pressing "Control" + "A" and then hitting delete. This will clean everything off of the card. If you want to save the files from the card first, simply make a folder somewhere on your PC and drag all of the files from the SD card into that folder after pressing "Control" + "A". If you are still getting an error stating your card is full after removing them this way you may need to re-format the card or it may be malfunctioning.

My internal memory is full and I can't take picturs.

Put a card in this camera, and copy from the internal memory to the card all the pictures.

Most cameras have an internal menu to allow you to transfer or copy all files to the SD card (if you can copy the files, then copy them and delete all internal files after copy).
This digital camera has an internal memory of 16 megabytes which is a lot. But if the memory is full, it has to be copied, or delete some pictures.

Card error on L100 samsung camera, help please.

copy all the pictures/files saved in your memory card to your PC then format the card, you can format the card by going to MENU > SET UP > FORMAT

make sure that you have a copy of the files in the memory card because formatting the memory card will erase all the files that are saved in it.

I put two 2GB RAM in my memory slot and only one is registering, so instead of 4GB RAM, I have 2GB. Why is this and what can I do to get the full 4GB?

ok i checked on your model and it says 2gb RAM max and so it is probably seeing both chips but only seeing 1gb each since that is what the slot is made for..
But to be totally sure you might wqant to check the bios and see what it says since some bios will sometimes give more details as to how many chips are installed.
or take out one chip and turn the computer back on and see if it shows 1gb or 2gb if it shows 1gb with one 2gb chip then you will know that the slot wont read more than 1gb.

Can not download pictures on computer- "Communication error" showing on camera display window; camera chip 2GB with 4100 pictures. Tried using another 2GB chip with less than 100 pictures in it...

Start deleting pictures base on how good they are, importance and priority. Then by trial and error delete 50 pictures, download; 100 ... 200. Finally it download ... after 10-15 seconds wait. Total pictures deleted 1700 out of 4200. So there is a limitation on this type of camera with a 2GB chip, you have to stop taking pictures and change camera
chip when the total count reach 2500 + or - 50 pictures.

IBM ThinkPad T40 2GB Max RAM

The T40 has two ram slots, you can put a 1g chip in each totaling 2g. If the chip will remove, then it is changeable. Vista needs a minimum of 256 to run, so, when you change BOTH chips to equal 2g it will probably read 1.744g, or it may read the full 2g. If it only reads 1g, then the second slot under keyboard may have malfunctioned. It could also be that the 256 chip is bad and your really only running 512 now. With all that said, in order to achieve 2g, you will need to put a 1g chip in each slot.

MEMORY CARD

I had the same problem today with a 2 GB card. I think it may be the size of the card. When I put in an old 32 MB card it worked fine.

Page 43 of this manual seems to have the best documentation on memory for this machine. I saw a 2GB max in another document and this shows the biggest module as 1GB. I would believe that infers a pair.
