My TV (Sony Bravia KDL-46S5100) just went off. when i try to turn it on, the on button lights up green, but nothing happens on TV. Tried unplugging it and turning on again - doesn't work. Sometimes Standby light goes on, but not always. Please help!

You either have a problem with your power supply board or main board. I would start with having the power supply fuse checked as well as the power supply board!
I have a sony bravia kdl 40v 5100 for less than two years and i did not purchased an extended warranty and now my tv is down.
I have no picture, no sound just a black screen when i turn the power on, the power (green) light is lite up and the tv turns off by itself for like less than 30 seconds.
