The error is the main drive motor. But is not always the actual motor itself. The main motor drives the flywheel. The PCU is inside the front cover, is large and has 3 screws. Remove the waste containers and main charge corona assembly first then pull the handle. It is on a drawer slider. Maybe the transfer belt is torn on the PCU and is locking up the drive. Check the PCU first.
That is a jam related error. Kindly check that there
is no paper jams. Otherwise, the main drive motor could be faulty. Check that you
can turn the motor freely by hand first and if not, replace. there is also a
possibility that it could be too much load. If the above doesn't, then replace the pcu .

Hello
Press the "Clear Modes" button. This button will be on the main panel of the Ricoh copier.
Press the "1,0,7" keys in succession. You do not have to hold the buttons down at the same time but need to press and release them in this exact order.
Press and hold the "Stop" key. You will need to hold this button down until the Ricoh copier enters into service mode. The touch screen display will read "service mode" and three soft keys will appear.
Press the "exit" button. This button will be on the touch screen display in the upper right hand corner. Once pressed, the copier will return to normal operation mode.
Turn off the main power. The main power button will be located on the side or front of the copier
Turn the power back on. Once the copier is powered back up, the service code will be cleared.
It is normally the PCU that is causing these problems. If it is over 12,000 prints, I suggest to replace the PCU. Check the firmware, make sure it is updated. After that you can inspect the main drive assembly. Turn it with your finger to see if it turns ok.
The PCU is located in the front cover of the machine. If you open the front and side covers there a 3 large silver screws located 2 at the top and 1 at the bottom of the PCU assembly. They are quite hidden but BIG so you can't miss them. Remove the 3 screws and pull on the big handle in the middle and the whole unit should slide out. There is another handle on top for carrying. The PCU unit comes out complete with both TCB's and the Charge grid. Check that the 2 belts on the PCU unit are not ripped or torn and that they turn smoothly.
