LG TV - when switched on the screen is blank apart from AV1 showing in top left corner of screen - it is then necessary to use the page number button to get BBC1 etc. How do I get BBC1 etc. to appear instantly after switching on ?

1. Ensure that there is no disk in the tray.

2. Switch the player off and then back on. This is necessary to clean-boot the
firmware.

3. Wait until the main menu page appears and the player stops doing
anything.

4. Press the eject button to open the tray. (The button is between the "Power"
and "TV Power" buttons at the top of the controller.)

5. Press the eject button to close the tray.

6. Wait while the player searches for a disk.

7. As soon as the "No Disk" message appears at the top left corner do the
following.

8. Press the REPEAT button - just above the TV channel selector at the bottom
right of the controller.

9. Enter 76884 on the number pad.

10. The region code "4" should appear at the top left corner of the
screen.(this just flashed on then off, so keep an eye on the screen)

11. Enter a "9" to make the player region free.

12. Power down and power up again.

13. Play a foreign DVD to verify the change.

When the tv is set to av1, it means the tuner is not being used, press the input/source button on the remote or tv itself. it should work fine.

All you need to do is press the TV/VIDEO button in the top left corner of your remote. Each time you press, it will cycle through the connected external inputs, e.g. AV1, AV2, etc.

Connect one end of the VIDEO
(yellow) CABLE to the AV1 in VIDEO
jack on the back of the TV. Then connect
one end the AUDIO (red and
white) CABLES to the AV1 in AUDIO
L and R(left and right) jacks on the rear
of the TV. Connect the other end of the cables to the appropriate color on the DVD player (yellow to yellow etc.)

Press the CH + or – buttons on the
remote to scroll the channels until AV1
appears in the upper left corner of the
TV screen.
Slide the TV/VCR/ACC switch to
the VCR position.
Insert DVD into player and press PLAY.

There should be a button on your TV remote that will be called "Display" or "P in P".
The display button usually displays which input you have selected, such as: SAT for Satellite; AV1, AV2, AV3 or AV4 - depending on how many inputs your TV has, to plug in devices like a VCR or DVD recorder/player.
Otherwise, if you have a more sophisticated TV, it could be that you have accidentally pressed the "P in P" button, that selects the Picture in Picture mode. If you have done this, your TV will display the main picture of the input you have selected, plus another input, (such as SAT or AV1 or AV2 etc. as I've mentioned above). If the AV1 or AV2, etc. input is not active (not switched on) then that input will only display a blank (black) picture in the top left corner of the screen.

If, when selecting the guide, the entire screen is black (except for the preview in the corner), then the digital main board has gone bad and will need replaced.

I had the same issue. Assuming that the phone still works, you can copy all the numbers onto the SIM card. Then put the SIM card in a different phone and copy them back off again.

To do this hit this sequence of buttons:
The Left next button(little dash in the top left corner) - pulls up menu
#8 - goes to address book
#5 - "copy all contacts"
#2 - "handset to smartchip"
#1 - "keep original"
#1 - "yes"

Give it a minute or two to copy the numbers. Then power it down. The SIM card is underneath the battery.

First of all backup ur every important thing.Switch off ur phone hold *,3 and green call button at the same time and switch on ur phone.problem resolved.
