Hello first thing to check is see if the belt as snaped, if ok then it may be down to the brushes on the motor you will have to take the back off to check . you should see 2 black plastic clips on the motor . the motor may be located at the bottom of the washer. hope it helps

My LG wf_t7050tp top loader washing machine drum not turning during wash/rinse cycle

The drum is controlled by a breaking system at the bottom of it. It is the agitator in the center that does most of the work during wash and rinse. The drum would spin very fast during spin cycle.

Check if the solenoid for brake control is working. Check that the drive belt is not sagged. It should be tensioned correctly.

Samsung WA13G7Q1 machine runs all cycles until it comes to the spin cycle then the machine stops. what could be the cause of this?

If all the water has drained the most common fault is the brake motor which releases the drum so it is free to turn, with the back off and a torch you should be able to see the lever and cable being retracted id nothing happens on spin thatd your problem

My washing fills and drains properly, but will not agitate or run the spin cycle. I sounds like it is going through the cycle properly, but will not turn the drum (spin cycle) or agitator.

Try picking a different wash cycle, instead of your annual quick wash cycle opt for the longer wash cycle and then you may find that the spin cycle may kick-in, hope this works for you, good luck!

Ultima wt940 Not spinning

Hi.

Possible slack belt which will slip with full load of water and washing, check tension, or maybe motor fault. the motor can sometimes work o/k on spin, but not on wash

Clothes are still soaking wet after spin cycle and the wash cycle is complete.

If the drum spins in the spin cycle, then the belt can't be broken. However, if the drum does not move at all in wash and spin, then the belt can be broken or just fallen off. You will have to remove the back plate and fit the belt back on the drum pulley and the motor pulley. If belt is ok check the motor brushes, they could be worn. They are located one on either side of the motor and identifiable by a single wire that connects to each one. You could also have a restriction in one of the drain hoses which is not allowing all the water to drain out.

Hi, Does the drum turn during the wash cycle? When it comes to the spin cycle does it go through to the end without the drum turning? It sounds like it could be the motor needs new carbon brushes. Regards, Tom.
