VCR Mode - Panasonic AG EZ30

Hello, I hope you can help me out with this problem.
I have a Panasonic AG EZ30. In VCR mode, when I play what I ´ve recorded, it cuts for a sec and keeps on going, several times, every 5 or 10 secs. Sometimes some pixels appears but just for a second. The audio also stops.

Thank you very much in advance
Saludos

SOURCE: Panasonic AG-EZ30 motor noise nothing moving

well if it uses a tape mechanism .It will only have 3 motors .LOADING, CAPSTAN and HEADS.If one of these is running without tape ,you should get an error of somekind of your screen .If there is no error from mech then noise is possibly an electrical whine from the LCD panel power supply and or main camera power supply .

SOURCE: Audio is not recorded at all!! Please help

I had the same problem but lucky for me my camera was still under warranty. After sending it for repairs and to my amazement, panasonic replaced my LCD and LENS (what?) and it worked fine. They did mention about a manual reset. Not the button thing you press. I was bewildered but happy the audio levels are working. But soon after then, I found out I couldn't capture my old tapes that i previously recorded!

Not much help,
Luke

SOURCE: Panasonic PV-DV103D

This is actually a problem with the ribbon cable. When the tape is put in and the tape door is pushed shut it jars the internal ribbon cable. Years ago I found this tip online & it fixed it!

Quote
"Ok, here goes, I had the exact same problem on my pos Panasonic pv-dv203d. After many times of taking it apart and many frustrating calls to Panasonic, I've finally figured it out, I hope it helps on your cameras.

Remove the bottom plate from the Camera (four screws, plus one near the LCD screen).

Pop off the bottom plate of the camera

Look at the ribbon cables carefully, and make sure they are all snug in the plugs. The tape transport mechanism may move them out of place."

Every now and then our will start to act up & hubby unscrews the bottom of the camcorder (Panasonic PV-DV203D), gently maks sure the ribbon cables are in place, replaces the bottom plate & it's worked for us every time. i hope this helps!

SOURCE: Panasonic HVX200 will not play back tape

Your playback heads might be clogged. I am not sure if this camera with give you a RF warning if your record heads get clogged. Also most professional machines drums are rated at 1000 - 1500 hours before they need to be replaced. If you are at 500 and never cleaned the heads it is time to. Run a cleaning tape a few times.

Panasonic Ag-DV1000 mini DV deck shuts down after inserting tape

When there's a problem with the drive mechanism of a VCR it will shut down to prevent damage. All operations of a VCR are controlled by a computer chip. This is told what mode the mechanism is in by a Mode Switch. If this is faulty it can cause the machine to play up. Sometimes a spray of Video 40 on the mode switch can restore operation. However it will not correct the problem if the mechanism has any damage on it.

My Panasonic AG-1980's

defective or dirty mode switches are common in vcrs like the ag-1980s. if your local repair shop has been in business for a few years, the problems should be easy to remedy.

Panasonic AG-1980

most likely problem is a dirty or defective mode switch. this switch tells the internal computer what position the mechanism is in. if the switch is bad, the computer is "confused."
