My Vizio 37" LCD TV screen went black and had a loud buzzing sound. It would not turn off with the remote or manually so I had to unplug it. After plugging back in, I still had no picture and couldn't even switch outputs. I called Costco and Vizio and both said I was out of warranty and were sorry to say but I am S.O.L. Any suggestions?

take it to sears repair shop. Most likely they will ask you almost half the price of the TV to repair it. It is a thin glass that is inside of it that is very fragile.

I had the same problem with MY Vzio L32 randomly powering itself on and off. The problem Is U26 on the main board. Solder a 10K resister to pins 2 and 3.

Please try to reset all setting and then to see if the problem is solved. 1. Press the Menu on your Remote Control;
2. choose Set up on the OSD;
3. then choose Reset All settings;
4. Press the Exit on your Remote Control to remove the OSD

That problem is the Ysus board, Sometimes people will replace the Zboard at the same time. If you bought it at costco a couple of years ago you are in luck costco will refund your purchase price, costco has changed the return policy and newer tv's are not refunded, but something to look into

You should check your home wiring and grounding. Also be aware of anything that has recently been turned on when this happens. Anyone using a microvwave, cell phone, or other appliance that might be causing the interference.
